On May 4th, I had the incredible honor of photographing a joyful 80th birthday celebration at Westminster Presbyterian Church near the Waterfront Metro station in Washington, DC. This historic church, nestled in the heart of the vibrant Southwest Waterfront neighborhood, was the perfect venue for such a meaningful and elegant event.
The celebration brought together generations of family and friends to honor a remarkable life and legacy. The church’s warm red brick architecture, beautiful stained-glass windows, and welcoming interior created a timeless backdrop for the portraits and candid moments we captured throughout the day.

We also stepped outside for a few portraits in the soft spring light, using the church steps and nearby green spaces to add variety and elegance to the gallery. Being so close to the DC waterfront added a relaxed, urban charm to the occasion.
