How I Transform My Photos Using Lightroom, Photoshop & Salty Sailor Presets
At Marcie Callahan Photography, delivering beautiful, timeless images to our clients is everything. But capturing the shot is just the beginning—the real magic happens in the editing room. Using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, I fine-tune every photo to bring out its full potential. My editing process is designed to enhance natural beauty, adjust lighting and color, and create a polished, professional look that reflects each client’s unique story. A big part of that process includes using Salty Sailor Presets, which help create vibrant tones, soft skin, and rich colors that work beautifully with natural light and outdoor sessions.
Every photo goes through a careful process: first, I select the best images from the session, then apply a preset to establish the mood. From there, I make individual adjustments—tweaking exposure, white balance, contrast, and color tones to ensure every image feels alive and authentic. For detailed retouching, like removing distractions or perfecting skin, I bring the image into Photoshop for those final, subtle touches. This combination of Lightroom, Photoshop, and carefully chosen presets allows me to turn a good image into one that truly stands out.
At the end of the day, my goal is to give every client images they’ll love for a lifetime—photos that feel real, polished, and unforgettable. By mastering the editing process, I can deliver galleries that are consistent, clean, and full of emotion—just the way they should be.
